Statistical Data on International Researchers
In academic year 2018, roughly 670 Gifu University teaching and administrative staff traveled overseas for research, information gathering, and participation in academic conferences. Most of them used research funds provided by central and local governments as well as private firms. They exchanged information with not only partner universities but many other universities, and continue to actively engage in joint research. In addition, about 20 international researchers conducted joint research with Gifu University faculty while staying at Gifu University for longer than a month, and roughly 210 researchers made short-term visits to Gifu University to exchange research data.
The Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization（GU-GLOCAL） dispatches researchers every year to partner universities using funds donated by international exchange support organizations. It also invites researchers from partner universities.
