On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the Second Collaboration and Co-Creation Framework of National Universities in Tokai (C-FRONT) President Meeting was held in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. The C-FRONT was officially launched in January 2024.

By welcoming Shinshu University as a new member, the name of C-FRONT was changed to 'C²-FRONTS' during this second meeting. Nine universities within Nagano, Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi and Mie prefectures will utilize their resources and assets to accelerate sustainable growth in Nagano Prefecture and the Tokai region (comprising Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi and Mie prefectures). The new 'C²-FRONTS' continues to strive for building a framework to address various societal needs as flexibly as possible and enhance member universities' global competence through mutual assistance.
