Publication of Application Guidelines for THERS Make New Standards Program for the Next Generation Researchers

Purpose of the Program

The Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (THERS) Make New Standards Program for the Next Generation Researchers (hereinafter referred to as "the Program") aims to cultivate doctoral talents who will contribute to future society in various ways--such as leading a knowledge-based society or solving issues faced by Japan and the world. Doctoral course students are already working at the forefront of research and play a fundamental role in supporting university research. Through this Program, we provide financial support to outstanding students to create an environment where they can dedicate themselves fully to their research. In addition, by offering courses designed to help students acquire skills sought after by industry and other sectors, the Program alleviates concerns about future employment and encourages students to concretely envision their societal contribution through career design.
