Report on the 2025 Gifu University Scholarship for Students with Excellent Academic Performance

As part of the initiatives supported by the Gifu University Fund, which was established on the occasion of the university's 60th anniversary, Gifu University has been offering a Scholarship for Students with Excellent Academic Performance since FY2010. The purpose of this scholarship is to support students' learning and foster individuals who will contribute to society by awarding scholarships to those who demonstrate outstanding character and academic excellence and serve as role models for their peers.

In FY2025, a total of 29 scholarship recipients were selected from various faculties and graduate schools. On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Report on the 2025 Gifu University Scholarship for Students with Excellent Academic Performance was held on campus.

At the beginning of the event, President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro expressed his appreciation for each student's efforts to date and shared his expectations that they would continue to refine their abilities and grow into individuals who make meaningful contributions to society. Following this, Vice President OYABU Chiho provided an overview of the purpose behind the establishment of the Gifu University Fund, the support it has received from donors, and the initiatives made possible through these contributions, emphasizing that the scholarship is sustained by the generosity of many supporters.

Each scholarship recipient then took the stage to deliver a one-minute speech in which they presented the achievements of their academic and research activities, their aspirations for the future, and their gratitude for the scholarship support. Every presentation conveyed a sincere approach toward learning and a strong sense of purpose for the future, truly reflecting the qualities Gifu University seeks to cultivate in its students.

Vice President MASHIKO Norifumi concluded the event by noting that it had been a valuable opportunity to witness the students' growth.
