"Gifu Consumer Network," Represented by Vice President Oyabu, Receives the "Best Consumer Supporter Award" from the Consumer Affairs Agency
The "Gifu Consumer Network," a consumer organization in Gifu Prefecture led by Vice President OYABU Chiho of Gifu University since its founding in 2010, has been awarded the "Best Consumer Supporter Award" as part of the FY2025 Consumer Support Merit Awards by the Consumer Affairs Agency.
The Consumer Affairs Agency annually honors individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to consumer support activities, aiming to protect and promote consumer interests.
This award recognizes the Gifu Consumer Network's efforts in consumer education throughout Gifu Prefecture. The organization has played a vital role in promoting awareness of responsible consumer behavior among young people and in helping to protect the elderly from various types of scams. Its initiatives include hosting biannual lectures that attract over 400 university students--including those from Gifu University--and producing educational video materials for high school students.
