The Donation Presentation Ceremony for the 'OKB Regional Support Private Placement Bonds (Applause Bonds) - Community Contribution Type' is held.
On Thursday, November 28, 2024, a donation presentation ceremony for the 'OKB Regional Support Private Placement Bonds (Applause Bonds) - Community Contribution Type' was held at the OKB Gifu University Plaza on campus.
Private placement bonds are a type of bond that companies use to raise funds through banks. With the 'OKB Regional Support Private Placement Bonds (Applause Bonds) - Community Contribution Type,' when companies raise funds, Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank donates goods or funds to local schools, public institutions, and medical institutions within the range of 0.2% of the issuance amount underwritten by the bank.
This time, through the private placement bonds issued by four companies - Onda MFG Co., Ltd., Dream Bank Co., Ltd., Nihon Taxi Co., Ltd., and Moon Phase Co., Ltd. - the first donation presentation was held. The donation presentation ceremony was attended by Executive Managing Director GOTO Katsutoshi, General Manager KAMEI Atsushi of the Corporate Sales Department from Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank, representatives from the four companies, as well as President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro, and Vice President OYABU Chiho from Gifu University.
First, Mr. Goto gave a speech about this initiative, stating, "Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank, which supports Gifu University and research institutions that focus on nurturing entrepreneurs, sympathizes with Gifu University's vision of becoming a core hub for regional revitalization to address regional and human challenges." Following this, the donation certificate was presented.
Afterwards, representatives from the four companies spoke about their relationship with Gifu University and introduced their businesses. Finally, President Yoshida expressed his gratitude, saying, "Due to the recent surge in prices, the university's operations have been extremely challenging. Your support is invaluable to Gifu University and will greatly contribute to the learning and educational research of our students. This donation will be used for scholarships and educational research activities for students."
