Professor KUSUDA Satoshi from the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences, Gifu University will publish a book titled "The Biology of the Shoebill."
The shoebill, known for its unique appearance and behavior, is a popular bird often referred to as the "motionless bird." However, its biology has been scarcely studied, leaving many mysteries. This book explains the current knowledge about the shoebill from various fields such as taxonomy, ecology, morphology, and reproductive biology.
