"Nutrition Wonders" event

The Health Administration Center and Dining Hall No.1 of Co-op jointly hosted "Nutrition Wonders" event on Friday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 12, 2023. This event is held to coincide with the "Nutrition Day, Nutrition Week" of the Japan Dietetic Association. This year's theme is "In-between Snacks," and people discuss the importance of nutrition and make some suggestions on healthy diet for today.

On July 7, kiwi fruits and milk donated by the companies supporting the event, and instruction leaflets created by the Japan Dietetic Association were distributed to the participants. Even before the opening of the event, many people formed a long line, and the free distribution time ended in just 25 minutes for 200 people.

On July 12, a registered dietitian from the Health Administration Center first spoke about in-between snacks. It was followed by the sessions below;

- Tasting dessert made of kiwi fruits and milk,

- Promotion of "COOP Summer Festival" by the Dining Hall No.1 of Co-op (introduction of Co-op menu using rice and vegetables grown and harvested by Gifu University students)

- Lecture on prevention of heat stroke by a health nurse from the Health Administration Center, and

- Exchange of information among the participants.

A total of 26 people (including those who made prior applications) attended the event.

We sincerely hope that through this "Nutrition Wonders" event, students become more interested in food and nutrition, and enjoy healthy, well-balanced meals every day.

The Health Administration Center continues to provide health education for students and staff to help them improve their physical and mental health and enjoy healthy life.
