On Monday, May 15, 2023, the Opening Ceremony for the Institute for Glyco-core Research (iGCORE) Gifu Research Gifu Research Building was held on Gifu University campus.

Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (THERS) is promoting "Human Glycome Atlas Project: HGA" (Representative: Dr. KADOMATSU Kenji, THERS Trustee) as part of the "Large Scientific Frontiers" of the "Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. The iGCORE Gifu Research Building opened as a research hub for this "Human Glycome Atlas Project: HGA."
