AY 2023 Entrance Ceremony

Gifu University AY 2023 Entrance Ceremony was held at Nagaragawa Convention Center (Gifu City) on Friday, April 7, 2023, welcoming newly enrolled 1,324 undergraduate and 642 graduate students. Due to the concerns for COVID-19 infections and for safety precautions, the in-person Entrance Ceremony was held in three ceremonies separated by faculties and graduate schools, and the presence of limited attendees. The Ceremony was livestreamed on Gifu University YouTube in its entirety for those who are not able to attend in person.

In his congratulatory speech, President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro gave the following message to the undergraduate students; "May you consciously keep this advice in your mind that your approach to learning will reflect on the level of self-responsibility and self-determination you take in your life. Think things through before initiating any actions and never waver to attain the goals you set for yourself." To the graduate students, he said, "Please remember the following as you proceed with a new chapter in life; "What do you learn, what do you learn for, and how you use your expertise for society." The same question is being posed to all faculty members of Gifu University."

On behalf of the graduate schools, Mr. UETAKE Nozomu from the Graduate School of Medicine, and on behalf of the faculty, Ms. OWAKI Anna from the Faculty of Education, and Mr. ASHIZUKA Isshin from the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences expressed their determination and ambitions to study at Gifu University, and their sincere efforts to assume a leadership role for society in the future.
