AY 2022 Gifu University Student Report Competition Awarding Ceremony

"AY 2022 Gifu University Student Report Competition Awarding Ceremony" was held at the Academic Core, Gifu University on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

This awarding ceremony is hosted by the Organization for Promotion of Higher Education and Student Support (ORPHESS) every year to achieve the following objectives: 1) motivate students to engage in voluntary and creative learning by awarding reports of excellence and their authors, 2) by making the reports public, provide students an opportunity to utilize them as referable educational materials.

ORPHESS Director-General YAMADA Toshihiro (Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Support) presented the winners with certificates and gifts, and congratulated them on their achievements. He later made comments on their reports.

Report Titles and Names of the Winners

Highest Award

- "Proposal for Waste Disposal at Kamihara, Gero City from the History of Waste Use and Analysis of Current Situations" by Mr. MATSUOKA Tadashi (third year student, Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Regional Studies)

Award for Excellence

- "Challenges of Technical Trainees: Real life of Vietnamese in Japan" by Ms. HIRAOKA Miho (third year student, Department of Policy Studies, Faculty of Regional Studies)

-"Community-Building through Baseball at Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture" by Mr. FUKUMOTO Souta (first year student, Faculty of Regional Studies)

The awarded reports will appear in "ORPHESS Annual Report No. 9."

The "AY 2023 Gifu University Student Report Competition" is already scheduled. We look forward to receiving many applications for the Competition AY 2023.
