On Friday, March 3, 2023, the Award Ceremony for the "First Gifu University Photo & Art Competition Awards Ceremony" was conducted.

Gifu University hosted the "First Gifu University & Art Competition" in AY 2022 to publicize the charms and attractions embraced by many Gifu University students and academic staff to the public. There were a total of 156 applications for the competition GU students and staff members.

After a strict screening, the following nine works were awarded:

　At the Awards Ceremony, Dr. SUGIYAMA Makoto, Vice President (General Manager) (Evaluation, General Affairs, Public Relations and Fund) made a following comment; "There are many GU students and staff who are possessing excellent photos, and by publicizing them to the public, we would like to introduce our campus activities to people inside and outside of campus and our stakeholders. Thank you very much for sending wonderful photos for the competition." Later, Dr. Sugiyama and Dr. NAKAGAWA Tsutomu, Presidential Advisor presented a letter of commendation and a gift to individual winners.

On behalf of the winners, Dr. Yamada (Vice President (Academic Affairs and Student Support)) said, "In winter, elegant beauty early in the morning, refined beauty in a snowy day. I took the picture because I was immensely impressed by the beauty of white snow early in winter morning on campus. I am truly honored to be presented with the highest award."

The awarded photos will be on display on campus soon, and hosting the second photo & art competition is already being scheduled.
