Platinum in ASSC Rating

Gifu University was awarded the Platinum rating in the Assessment System for Sustainable Campus (ASSC) by the Campus Sustainability Network in Japan (CAS-Net JAPAN) on Saturday, July 16, 2022. The certificate was handed out by Ms. PARK Hye-Sook, Representative of CAS-Net Japan.

CAS-Net JAPAN launched ASSC in 2014 to promote the creation of universities contributing to building sustainable, environmentally-friendly society. Under ASSC, members evaluate and rate campus sustainability from the questionnaire results submitted by participating universities in four categories: management, education and research, environment, and local community. Since the launching of ASSC, a total of 103 universities replied questionnaires (including trials) and only four universities including Gifu University were awarded the Platinum rating to date.

Gifu University was awarded the Gold rating in 2018 and the staff's continued efforts to increase its scoring (71.5% in 2018) earned them the Platinum rating (91.6%) in 2022.
