A farm animal clinical training facility within Yanagido Farm, Gifu University has completed. The facility is primarily designed for students of the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences to be engaged in educational and research activities, and to provide them education to become veterinarians or livestock business professionals in the future. It also reinforces cooperation with the Gifu Central Livestock Hygiene Service Center in order to prevent future outbreak and spread of infectious diseases. Because there is no similar livestock research facility near the university, the facility is also open to students from other universities or colleges for training.

On Monday, July 26, 2021, eighteen university officials attended the facility tour. After the tour, the participants expressed their high hopes for educational and research benefits that the facility can bring to the students.

The facility is scheduled to start its operation at the end of fiscal 2021.
