"The Gifu University Student Report Competition Awarding Ceremony AY 2020" was held at Academic Core, Gifu University on Friday, April 23, 2021.

This awarding ceremony is hosted by the Organization for Promotion of Higher Education and Student Support (ORPHESS, Gifu University) every year to achieve the following objectives: 1) motivate students to engage in voluntary and creative learning by awarding reports of excellence and their authors, 2) by making the reports public, provide students an opportunity to utilize them as referable educational materials.

The ceremony was attended by a number of the university staff members. ORPHESS Director-General Hirokazu Fukui (Vice President for Planning, Academic Affairs, Evaluation and Fund) presented three winners with certificates and gifts and honored them for their achievements. He later made his comments on their reports.

Ms. Kyoka Sato (2nd year student, Course of Applied Life Science, Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences)

Title: Review on New Protein Synthesis Method using Circular RNA

●Honorable Award

Ms. Ayaka Itakura (4th year student, Social Studies Education, Faculty of Education)

Title: Importance of Life-Size Materials for Social Study Class

Director-General Fukui gave the following words of encouragement to the winners: "All the reports showcase the students' dedication to creating excellent reports. Very impressive."

The awarded reports will appear in "ORPHESS Annual Report No. 7" to be published this autumn.

"The Gifu University Student Report Competition AY 2021" is already scheduled. We look forward to receiving many applications for the Competition AY 2021.
