Donation of Painting
The United Graduate School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS) was presented a painting from Mr. Hajime Murahashi on Friday, February 26, 2021. Mr. Murahashi has been running his construction consultant company ("The Union") for more than 50 years in Gifu City. He wishes that Gifu University continues to produce professionals in the fields of agriculture and civil engineering, and believes that distinguished works of fine arts could inspire and motivate students to study hard, and nurture their power of imagination.
On February 26, an acceptance ceremony was held on campus with attendance of Mr. Murahashi, Mr. Hideaki Furukawa (a painter), Professor Ken Hiramatsu, UGSAS Dean, and Professor Tetsuo Asai, Dean of the United Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences. At the ceremony Professor Hiramatsu handed Mr. Murahashi a letter of appreciation. The painting is now on display at the entrance hall of the united graduate school building.
