On Friday, September 18, 2020, the Fall 2020 Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the Gifu University Rearing Program for Basin Water Environmental Leaders (BWEL) was held at the Office of the President. The ceremony was attended by President Hisataka Moriwaki, Vice President Hirokazu Fukui (Planning, Academic Affairs, Evaluation and Fund), and the members of the Program Promotion Office.

The certificate of completion was conferred to Mr. Suozhu (from China) who studied the doctoral program at the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science.

The ceremony was followed by some casual talks among attendees. "After returning to China, I would like to teach at my university, and continue to carry out my research on agricultural water control, the theme I have been working here at Gifu University," said Mr. Suozhu. President gave him the following word of encouragement: "Please keep close contact with Gifu University. I hope your university and Gifu University will embark on many joint research activities, and we are more than happy to welcome students from your university in the near future."
