Gifu University Entrance Ceremony for Undergraduate and Graduate Students for AY 2019 was held at Nagaragawa Convention Center on April 7, 2019. The number of students enrolled in are: 1,343 undergraduate students and 603 graduate students respectively.

President Hisataka Moriwaki offered the following words of encouragement to the newly enrolled undergraduate students and graduate students, respectively: "I want you to become responsible members of society and devote yourselves to the growth and prosperity of Japan and the world in the near future." "Graduate school entrants are required to fulfill advanced functions that are different from university graduates. Please have a clear vision for your future as a highly advanced professional, or as a graduate student aspiring to become a researcher while firmly holding on to your dreams."

On behalf of undergraduate students, Miss Rika Nagata at the Nursing Course, the School of Medicine announced her resolution of studying at Gifu University. "We pledge to make every effort to play a prominent role in society in near future."
