Partnership Agreement with Kaizu City

Gifu University and Kaizu City (Gifu Prefecture) signed a partnership agreement on March 4, 2019 for a close collaboration in the fields of education, disaster prevention and mitigation, community building and revitalization.

The two have already forged a strong tie in promoting the city's school education, drafting disaster prevention guidelines, etc. even before the signing of this partnership agreement. Under the new agreement, the two will foster human resources capable of creating and developing the community full of energy and enthusiasm, and have a strong sense of responsibility for the future. To this end, the two are expected to build up a comprehensive partnership in a wide range of fields in sustainable and expansive way.

Gifu University concluded the similar agreements with other municipalities in Gifu Prefecture, and this is the 25th such agreement between the university and Kaizu City.

In the signing ceremony, Mayor Kiyohiko Matsunaga expressed his hope for the future growth of the city and the development of human resources through collaboration with Gifu University. "We would like to contribute to the prosperity of Kaizu City as one of our university goals is to work for the community. We hope that people at Gifu University, whether teaching, administrative staff or students, learn a lot from Kaizu City. A win-win relationship for both of us is what we seek to establish for days to come." said President Hisataka Moriwaki.

Gifu University and Kaizu City will continue to hold many talks concerning human resource development and implementation of regional revitalization programs/projects.
