Gifu University applied for a renewal of ISO 14001 of Environment Management System (EMS) on October 17 and 18, 2018, and received a new certificate on December 7, 2018.

In their evaluation, screeners commented that Gifu University has been continuously improving EMS for efficient, effective administration of the university, and its constant efforts are translating into a successful nature conservation.

Gifu University pledges to work for the improvement of EMS campus-wide, and make its utmost to protect the environment and accelerate environment education to deserve the name of "environmental university."
