The Fall 2018 Certificate Awarding Ceremony for Rearing Program for Basin Water Environmental Leaders was held on September 27, 2018 in the presence of President Hisataka Moriwaki, program committee members and program promotion office professors.

The following are the names of the recipients;

- Ms. Mendbayar Otgonbayar (from Mongolia: doctoral program at the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science: UGSAS)

- Ms. Zhang Junfang (from China: doctoral program at the Graduate School of Engineering)

- Mr. Cahyo Wisnu Rubiyanto (from Indonesia: master's program at the Graduate School of Applied Biological Sciences)

President Moriwaki handed out the certificate to each student in the Office of President. Later in the informal talk, the president and the students enjoyed conversations for some time. "I wish for your great success in the field of your study and research in the future." said the president. He also spoke to the students who are going to become lecturers at their home universities from this November. He expressed his strong hope for a continued, active exchange via constant communication with Gifu University, and their roles as a "bridge" between Gifu University and their respective home universities.

"As proud Gifu University students who have completed the program, we will do our utmost to carry out our research and educational activities by fully taking advantage of English skills, expertise and communication skills we have learned through the program." said one of the students representing the rest of the students.
