The Education Faculty-Affiliated Junior High School students visited the Office of President and met the president, Dr. Hisataka Moriwaki on September 6, 2018.

The students who visited were:

- Members of a male 400m relay race who came in sixth in the 45th National Junior High School Championships (organized by JAAF* held in City Light Stadium, Okayama Prefecture on August 18 - 21, 2018: Mr. Taisei Sawamura, Mr. Shunki Tateno, Mr. Kosuke Nakashima, Mr. Tamon Goto and Mr. Toshiya Kiriki)

- Ten students who attended a Guam workshop this summer, and

- Miss Noeru Yokoi who was dispatched to Mongolia under the Gifu City's Dream Project 2018, "Dream in Mongolia"

A total of sixteen students reported their winning in the championships and unique experiences.

"I would like to win national championships as an individual in the near future. At the same time, I want to assist my juniors and help our track and field club grow and stay strong." said Mr. Sawamura (second-year student) who took part in the 400m relay.

When asked by the president about her impressions of a school in Guam, Miss Annieka Muringer (third-year student) said that she was very surprised to see the students there were very active in a 90-minuite class and looked relaxed.

Miss Yokoi (third-year student) who visited Mongolia reported her experience of staying in a ger (a portable, round tent used as a dwelling) with her host family. "It must be an invaluable opportunity for you to visit and stay in Mongolia," said the president in reply to her comment.

At the end of the meeting, the president gave the following word of encouragement; "Please pass on your precious experiences on to your juniors and keep on studying hard."
