The 1st Press Conference by President for AY 2018

The 1st Press Conference by President for AY 2018 was held on April 18, 2018.

President Hisataka Moriwaki spoke about the 2018 planned activities for Gifu University Future Vision Toward 2025 by showing some aerial photos of the campus. He also introduced the new board members for 2018.

Next, the president explained the new facilities soon to be built within campus. They are a base for advanced and smart die engineering, Gifu Prefectural Research Institute for Food Sciences (name tentative), a daycare center and an academic archiving space.

A base for advanced and smart die engineering will open on June 7, 2018, where researchers and the private sector will jointly conduct research projects/programs in data transaction, developing sensing technology and application of IoT and AI to manufacturing.

Next year 2019 marks Gifu University's 70th anniversary, and the Campus Museum will open to the public for visitors to see a large collection of archived items on the anniversary day of June 1, 2018. Visitors will have a chance to see many stored precious plants, local history documents and historical items at the museum.

Gifu University continues to be a robust, thriving center base for regional revitalization as well as an international and nation's hub in academic fields where the university has particular advantage and strength in the future.
