Joint Entrance Ceremony for the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS) and the United Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences (UGSVS) for Spring 2018 was held at the university auditorium on April 13, 2018. The number of students enrolled is; 21 for UGSAS and 11 for UGSVS.

In his congratulatory address, President Hisataka Moriwaki said, "We hope you enjoy and utilize Gifu University, whether as a graduate student who has a clear vision for his/her future as a highly advanced professional, or as a graduate student aspiring to become a researcher while firmly holding on to his/her dreams."

On behalf of the students, Mr. Toshitaka Kanei of UGSVS expressed his resolve of studying at Gifu University.
