The Notification of Scholarship for Students with Excellent Academic Performance Presentation Ceremony was held on April 9, 2018.

Since 2010, as part of Gifu University Fund-financed activities, Gifu University awards a scholarship to model students with hard-working, excellent academic performance in order to support their academic achievements and nurture excellent students. The university awards the scholarship to students who are academically diligent and possess good character. At recommendations from the faculties and the graduate schools, 24 students were selected to receive the notifications.

At the ceremony, President Hisataka Moriwaki handed the notification to each student and gave them the following words; "I hope that you will understand the purposes of the scholarship financed by Gifu University Fund. Please study hard and enjoy fulfilling campus life. Your scholarship will be of great help to your studies at Gifu University."

On behalf of the students, Mr. Masanari Nishiwaki of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering expressed his wish as follows: "We will never forget that the scholarship is made of donations from the teaching and administrative staff and alumni of Gifu University, and also from the general public. With this in mind, we will take full advantage of the scholarship and devote ourselves to our studies and research activities at Gifu University."

By using the scholarship fund, Mr. Nishiwaki is already planning to go to the United States to improve his language skills.
