Bus Departure Ceremony for "Business Training" of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project

A Bus Departure Ceremony for "Business Training" of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project was held at the rotary in front of Yanagido Kaikan Hall, Gifu University on October 19, 2017.

This ceremony was held prior to the opening of the business training which forms part of "Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Course" of the Faculty of Engineering. This course is designed to assist students in undergoing practical training at actual production sites of companies.

The project is included in the Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-based Human Resource Development Project of Gifu Prefectural Government, and is now drawing a lot of attentions nationwide. This is because it aims to convey the real charms and attractions of Gifu businesses and industries to the students, and encourage them to land jobs within Gifu Prefecture. The target students of this project are 140 third grade students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering, Gifu University.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the 17 companies (13 companies in 2016) within Gifu Prefecture, Mr. Tadashi Nakamura, President of AKITAYA HONTEN, Co., Ltd. gave the following words of encouragement to the students: "Please be ambitious and enjoy active communications with people you meet during the training."

The training will last until the latter half of January 2018, and the report meeting by the participating students is scheduled in February. Gifu University keeps on posting the developments of the training from time to time.
