The 65th Medical Education Seminar & Workshop of the Medical Education Development Center (MEDC)

The Medical Education Development Center (MEDC) of Gifu University held "The 65th Medical Education Seminar & Workshop" at Gifu University for three days from July 21, 2017. A total of 170 people from across the country came to attend nine workshops and seminars.

During the three days, a wide variety of events offered to the participants such as clerical work training, medical anthropology combined with clinical practice, simulated patient participatory education, etc. WS-1 "IPE Online Course and Workshop" kicked off two months before the 65th seminar & workshop, and the participants of this online workshop met with one another for the first time during this three-day seminar & workshop. This is the new trial for educational staff and people with different professions to collaborate with each other in creating educational materials.

During the seminar, Professor Akiteru Takamura of Kanazawa Medical University was invited as a guest speaker and made a presentation under the title of "Community-based Medical Education: Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships."

As a collaboration center for medical education, MEDC holds this education seminar & workshop four times a year to contribute to promotion, development and improvement of medical education in Japan.

The 66th Medical Education Seminar & Workshop will be held at Okayama University in October 14 and 15, 2017.
