The 7th United Graduate School of Agricultural Science Seminar is held

On November 22, 2016, the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS) held a seminar with the title, "The 7th United Graduate School of Agricultural Science Seminar; From UGSAS to AIST" at Gifu University, and a total of 33 people attended.

After an opening speech by Professor Kohei Nakano, Vice Dean of UGSAS, a representative from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)introduced the graduate school system of AIST, and talked about acceptance of graduate school students, research instruction and supervision activities, as well as research assistant programs of AIST.

Later, six researchers of AIST, who are currently working at UGSAS as visiting professors, made research presentations and took questions during the subsequent question and answer session. Some of the students in attendance put questions to the speakers about how to maintain their motivation for research, and the speakers gave the students practical pieces of advice based on their own experiences.

AIST is a partner organization of UGSAS, and the latest seminar gave both institutions a good opportunity to deepen the partnership through not only research work but also research supervision for the students.
