Vice Chancellor of Assam University pays a courtesy call on President Moriwaki

On October 25, 2016, Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, Vice Chancellor and Professor Sanjib Kumar Panda of Assam University, India paid a courtesy call on President Hisataka Moriwaki. The meeting was joined by Dr. Fumiaki Suzuki, Executive Director for International Affairs and Public Relations, Dr. Masateru Senge, Dean of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS), Dr. Hiroyuki Koyama, Advisor to the President, Dr. Tohru Mitsunaga, Vice Dean of UGSAS.

The School of Life Science, Assam University and UGSAS concluded the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 19, 2012, and Assam University is currently a member of IC-GU 12*.

During the meeting with the President, they discussed how to promote mutual cooperation towards a signing of university-level agreement and university-wide educational collaboration in the new future.

The two delegates were later invited to the UGSAS building and they actively exchanged opinions with the teaching staff about a realization of double-degree program at doctoral program with a view to further facilitating exchanges of students at doctoral programs, researchers, teaching and administrative staff based on the current MOU between the School of Life Science and UGSAS.
