International Students attend the 4th International Exchange Meeting in 2015 hosted by the Chubu Economic Federation

On March 9, 2016, the Chubu Economic Federation hosted the 4th International Exchange Meeting in 2015 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture with the theme of "Exchange with International Students" and about 50 members of the Federation attended the meeting. In this 4th meeting, international students from Gifu University, Nagoya University and Mie University were invited to make presentations about their life in Japan and their research activities. From Gifu University, Ms. Tan Rou Nie (from Malaysia), a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Regional Studies, Mr. Fajar Suryantoro (from Indonesia), a second-year student at Master's Program, the Graduate School of Regional Studies, and Ms. Hanny Cho Too (from Myanmar), a second-year student at Doctoral Program, the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science introduced their home countries, their research work at Gifu University, and the plans after graduation or completion of the programs in Japanese.

In the subsequent informal gathering, many participants lauded the international students for their excellent command of Japanese and strong resolve to improve themselves.

The Chubu Economic Federation is composed of about 730 enterprises, school corporations, and economic organizations in five prefectures in the central Chubu region (Nagano, Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi and Mie). Companies whose operations are advancing to the global markets are expecting international students who have studied at a higher educational institution in Japan to play a leading role in the future both at home and abroad as personnel with global visions and insights.
