Gifu University Graduate School of Education holds Japan and Taiwan Education Research Exchange Meeting, "Discuss How to Cultivate School Managerial Staff"

On April 16, 2017, Japan and Taiwan Education Research Exchange Meeting titled, "Discuss How to Cultivate School Managerial Staff" was held at Gifu University Graduate School of Education. From Taiwan, a total of 13 people visited including professors from University of Taipei and school principals within Taipei. From Japanese side, 87 people including teaching staff, students and alumni of Gifu University Graduate School for the Teaching Profession, members of Gifu Prefecture Board of Education, Takayama City Board of Education, and the members of National Institute for School Teachers and Staff Development (NITS) who visited Taiwan. In the meeting, active opinion exchange and information sharing were taking place among the participants.

In the morning, there were two keynote speeches:

In the afternoon, six students who have completed Gifu University Graduate School for the Teaching Profession, and six school principals within Taipei made presentations which were followed by an active question and answer session among participants.

The meeting offered all participants a rare chance to study the education system in Taiwan which is boasting of the highly-advanced school managerial staff cultivation system. They also had an opportunity to share information about the current state of school managerial staff development and challenges in Japan, and how to address these challenges ahead.
