An Early Voting Station is set up at Gifu University for the 19th Gubernatorial Election of Gifu Prefecture

On January 20, 2017, an Early Voting Station for the 19th Gubernatorial Election of Gifu Prefecture was set up at No.6 Meeting Room on the second floor of the University Hall. The first Early Voting Station was set up within the university for the Upper House election held last summer. Just like this Upper House election, the Early Voting Station for the 19th Gubernatorial Election of Gifu Prefecture was set up at the request of the Gifu City Secretariat of the Board of Election with a view to offering the university students, the teaching and administrative staff an opportunity to be actively engaged in various election events, and to stay well-informed on the world of politics. Gifu University students served as election observers and voting administrators.

On January 20, a total of 117 people cast their ballots at the Early Voting Station. The 19th Gubernatorial Election of Gifu Prefecture is held on January 29, 2017 and we hope that the day will give a strong momentum for the university students to think proactively about nation's politics and voting.
