Campaign for Gifu University Students' Voting in the Upper House Election

On June 22, 2016, at the request of the Gifu City Secretariat of the Board of Election, Gifu University students conducted a campaign to encourage the University students to vote in the Upper House Election on July 10.

The student campaigners called for the University students to vote in the Election in front of the University Hall. They handed out the flyers to those who were heading to a dining hall or a shop during a lunch break.

The voting age in Japan was lowered to 18 years and older from June 19, 2016. The Japanese media is taking up topics about the youths newly joined the ranks of eligible voters almost every day.

Gifu University sets up an Early Voting Station within the campus. Please refer to the information about the Station below.

We hope that the University students spend some time to think about politics and elections and cast their vote.
Please stop by the Early Voting Station if necessary.
