On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, a total of 958 Gifu University staff members, students, and the members of the Gifu Prefectural Research Institute for Food Sciences¹ and Gifu Pharmaceutical University² took part in the 'Clean Campus Campaign in Spring 2024.' They picked up litter, got rid of weeds and swept paths with brooms on-and off campus areas for about an hour. Students also planted flowers in the flower beds in front of the University Library, a bus stop, and cleaned sports facilities used for students' extracurricular activities.

Forty-eight university staff and students participated in cleanup activities on roads and the surroundings of farm fields near campus as part of the 'Zero Waste around GU' campaign. For conservation of electricity in summer, staff members also cleaned air conditioning filters in their offices. We continue committing ourselves to realizing our goals towards a sustainable university and society.
