G-amet Won Awards at CAS-Net JAPAN 2023 and ASCN 2023

Gifu University student environmental circle, "G-amet," won multiple awards at "CAS-Net Japan1 2023" and "ASCN2 2023" annual meetings.The following are the names of the awards and the details.

●Sustainable Campus Award 2023
Student Activity Division: Prize for Encouragement
G-amet Activity Title: "Gifu University Plant Map Projecting - Towards 'Green Color Life.'"

 LIFE ON LAND PRIZE:
Presentation of "Campus Plant Map Projecting"

On Wednesday, December 13, eleven G-amet members visited the Office of the President and reported their wins and their activities to the President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro. One of the students made the following comments and expressed their joys and ambitions for the future; "We are very happy that our plant map projecting activities received high recognition. We will continue to share our plant data information through social media and host plant observation events to raise people's awareness and interests in plants and nature." President Yoshida congratulated the students on their wins and said, "I hope your juniors take over your activities and expand them for the future."

Gifu University will continue to promote the protection of the environment and make our campus eco-friendlier and more sustainable.

1) Campus Sustainability Network in Japan (CAS-Net JAPAN)was founded in March 2014 to contribute to more environmentally sustainable higher educational institutions, governmental institutions and private companies through promoting campus sustainability at Japanese universities and establishing cooperative relationships with campus sustainability networks overseas. Excellent campus sustainability activities receive awards in three divisions; "Architecture and Instruments," "Campus Operation and Regional Partnership," and "Student Activities."

2) Asian Sustainable Campus Network (ASCN) was established among the members of CAS-Net JAPAN, China Green University Network, Korean Association for Green Campus Initiative, and Sustainable University Network of Thailand for the promotion of campus sustainability in Asia.
