I would like to extend my deep condolences to the victims of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that took place on Monday, January 1, 2024.

My thoughts and prayers are with those who were affected by the devastation of the earthquake and tsunami.

On Tuesday, January 2, Gifu University dispatched a disaster medical assistance team to the affected areas. All members of Gifu University remain committed to providing support and assistance for the people who are going through tremendous difficulties.

I sincerely hope for the safety and health of the people in disaster-hit areas and an early recovery from the devastation.
