Gifu University (GU) concluded an "Agreement for Industry-Academia Partnership Promotion" with Aichi Bank, Ltd. (represented by President ITO Yukinori), and The Chukyo Bank, Ltd. (represented by President KOBAYASHI Hideo) on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

The agreement aims to promote cooperation in industry-academic partnership activities to enhance GU's education and research activities and revitalize the regional economy through achievements of GU.

This partnership agreement with two major banks in Aichi Prefecture is the first for GU, and we hope that it will help the university build close ties with regions outside Gifu Prefecture.

At the signing ceremony, GU Vice President WANG Zhigang (Planning, Academic Research, Finance and Industry-Academia Collaboration) expressed his strong hope for GU's contribution to the local economy by working closely with the private sector in the fields such as manufacturing and life sciences in which GU is enjoying global competence today.

GU continues to strive to promote the regional economy and support the two partner banks in addressing challenges of dealing with their customers while bolstering our new partnership and building a strong unity with the local community.

• Share GU's achievements with the public and support joint research projects.
• Promote industry-academia partnership and information-sharing.
