GU Exhibition at "Day to think about carbon neutral society"

Football Club Gifu (FC Gifu) hosted the second "Day to think about carbon neutral society" event on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The Center for Collaborative Study with Community (CCSC), and the Cooperation Center for Carbon Neutrality, Environment and Energy, Gifu University, jointly operated the GU exhibition booth set up at a lawn square of Gifu Memorial Center (Gifu City).

In this second event on July 15, Gifu University staff members introduced its educational and research programs, and its commitment to social contribution to the spectators coming to see the match. In the booth, panels were on display for activities of the two centers and the Environmental Affairs Office, Gifu University. They also set up a special space for visitors to experience traditional paper fan making. Staff members invited people to join fan making and advised them to use eco-friendly paper fans and air conditioners in order to survive this hot summer.

On the day of the match, approximately 6,400 people came to the stadium, and exhibition booths set up on the lawn square nearby, were filled with people. Around 20 people including children and their parents visited the GU booth and made paper fans. A total of 10 organizations from private and public sectors within Gifu Prefecture set up their booths and introduced their activities and efforts to achieve a carbon neutral society.

Gifu University and FC Gifu concluded a partnership agreement in 2017, and based on this agreement, GU was invited to join the exhibition for the second "Day to think about carbon neutral society" event hosted by FC Gifu.

Gifu University continues to engage in activities that can contribute to achieving a sustainable carbon-free society together with FC Gifu.
