"The Gifu University Student Report Competition Awarding Ceremony AY 2021" was held at Academic Core, Gifu University on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

This awarding ceremony is hosted by the Organization for Promotion of Higher Education and Student Support (ORPHESS, Gifu University) every year to achieve the following objectives: 1) motivate students to engage in voluntary and creative learning by awarding reports of excellence and their authors, 2) by making the reports public, provide students an opportunity to utilize them as referable educational materials.

The ceremony was attended by a number of the university staff members. ORPHESS Director-General Hirokazu Fukui (Vice President for Planning, Academic Affairs, Evaluation and Fund) presented the winners with certificates and gifts and congratulated them on their achievements. He later made comments on their reports.

"Scientific Investigation on Conditions for Joining Mokume-gane Made of Copper Alloys"

Ms. Nao Fujiwara (3rd year student, Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Science, Faculty of Engineering)

Director-General Fukui gave the winners words of encouragement: "Every report is very impressive and interesting to read."

The awarded reports will appear in "ORPHESS Annual Report No. 8."
