Gifu University student teams win "Tongali Idea Pitch Contest 2021" and "2021 Tokai Student Award"

Three Gifu University student teams from a startup club won the highest prize at "Tongali Idea Pitch Contest 2021" held on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Ms. Moeka Sugie, 1st year student of the Graduate School of Education won the best prize at "2021 Tokai Student Award" held on Sunday, November 14, 2021.

"Tongali Idea Pitch Contest 2021" is a competition among university students in central Tokai Area. Undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral students make presentations about their ideas and solutions to various social, economic issues. Through participation in this competition, students can make a step forward to realize their dreams in the future.

"2021 Tokai Student Award" is a venue for students from senior high schools to graduate schools in Tokai Area to talk about their passions for dreams and future before audience.

On Monday, November 29, 2021, members of the teams visited the Office of the President and reported their wining to President Hisataka Moriwaki. They stated that they are so glad to work together with the team members and compete with each other to enhance their skills.

President Moriwaki expressed his wish for continuation of their club activities and passing down on their experiences to their juniors.

Tongali Idea Pitch Contest 2021 Winners and Awards

- Ms. Moeka Sugie (1st year student of the Graduate School of Education, Team "Skurepo") is presented with Tongali Award, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Award and OKB Award

- Mr. Itsuki Natsume (3rd year student of the Faculty of Regional Studies, Team "SODATTE") and Mr. Akihiko Ito (3rd year student of the Faculty of Education, Team "SODATTE") are presented with Tongali Award, Overseas Challenge Award, Aichi Guarantee Award

- Mr. Tsubasa Hasegawa (3rd year student of the Faculty of Regional Studies, Team "Hihi job"), Mr. Mitsuki Kato (4th year student of the Faculty of Engineering, Team "Hihi job") and Mr. Kodai Suzuki (3rd year student of Faculty of Education, Team "Hihi job") are presented with Tongali Award, Audience Award and Nagoya City Credit Guarantee Corporation Award.

- Ms. Moeka Sugie (1st year student of Graduate School of Education) is presented with the Best Prize and Sense of Unity Prize at "2021 Tokai Student Award".
