Clean Campus Campaign in Autumn 2021

On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, approximately 650 Gifu University staff, students and members of the Gifu Prefectural Research Institute for Food Sciences (located within campus) took part in the "Clean Campus Campaign in Autumn 2021." They engaged in picking up litter, weeding, and sweeping on campus and its surrounding areas for about an hour. Members of student clubs, "three trees" and "G-amat" planted flowers at bus stops and in front of the Faculty of Education building.

Mr. Takashi Shirai, Manager of the Facilities Management Division called on people to join the campaign saying, "Gifu University declared to be "Environmental University" and to fulfill our goals under this declaration, let's act together for clean, eco-friendly campus environment."

University staff and students who are studying the subject "Modern Society and Volunteers" (approximately 30 students) also cleaned on and off campus areas including roads, farm fields, etc. as part of their "Zero Garbage in and around Campus" campaign.
