Clean Campus Campaign in Spring 2016

On May 25, 2016, Gifu University carried out a campus-wide "Clean Campus Campaign in Spring 2016." Gifu University declared itself "Environment University" in 2009 and has been working hard to create an environmentally-friendly university. As part of these efforts, Gifu University carries out a clean campus campaign twice a year.

On May 25, a total of 708 people including the executive members, teaching and administrative staff and students joined the campaign. They spent about an hour picking up trash and weeding within the campus. Staff from Gifu Pharmaceutical University, part of its facilities is within the Gifu University premises, also took part in the campaign.

In this biannual clean campus campaign, participants also engage in cleaning activities along the nearby Shinbori River. This time, around 30 people from different faculties worked together to pick up cans, bottles and weed around the riverside.
