The Egypt-Gifu Symposium 2013 was held at the United Graduate School Building, Gifu University on June 15th, 2013 with the cooperation of the Egyptian Embassy in Tokyo. This symposium aims to reinforce relationship between Egyptian researchers, students of Gifu University and the Egyptian Embassy. The symposium is expected to play a major role in expanding a network between Egypt and the rest of African countries in the future. The symposium started from the keynote speeches of the Egyptian Embassy and Gifu University representatives followed by the presentations made by Egyptian scholars and researchers. Participants enjoyed watching video clips introducing Egypt and also relished the opportunity to taste unique, traditional Egyptian cuisines after the symposium. The Ambassador of Egypt presented a Letter of Appreciation and a gift to Gifu University in recognition of its great contribution to hosting the Egypt-Gifu University Symposium 2013.
