A Farm Where Both Cattle and Students Grow Amid the Nature of Minokamo
Building the Future of Pasture-Raised Wagyu and Animal Welfare at Gifu University's Minokamo Farm
The Minokamo Farm is an educational and research farm that serves as a base for student training and research activities. It is an important field site for practical education and research related to agriculture, the environment, and food. The farm is also used for agricultural education and hands-on programs conducted in collaboration with the local community, playing a key role as a hub for community engagement.
On the other hand, aging facilities and infrastructure at the farm have become a major challenge, making it difficult to maintain and improve the educational and research environment. To address this issue, Gifu University has partnered with the Minokamo City Government to raise donations through Furusato Tax-Based Crowdfunding, with the aim of improving the farm's environment and enriching its educational and research activities.
Through this project, the expansion of pasture areas and the development of covered feeding facilities will help create a better breeding environment and contribute to building a sustainable livestock farming model. Donors can support the university's educational and research activities as well as its regional collaboration efforts while also receiving applicable tax deductions.
The knowledge gained through this project will be shared with society, contributing to the development of regional agriculture and the cultivation of future generations of talent. For details on donations, please visit the website below.
