The Health Administration Center Holds "Wellness EXPO," a Health Promotion Collaboration Event with the Gifu City Health Center and Partner Companies
The Health Administration Center of Gifu University held a health promotion event, the "Wellness EXPO," from February 4 to 18, 2026 in collaboration with the Gifu City Health Center and several health-related companies. The event aimed to raise health awareness among students.
The EXPO was held in conjunction with the university's annual health checkups for students. During the event period, a total of 10 organizations involved in health promotion booths, attracting 2,375 students, faculty, and staff members.
At each booth, participants enjoyed hands-on activities as well as health-related information sessions. Many commented that they "learned about health in an enjoyable way" and that the event "was a good opportunity to rethink daily habits."
This year, the event also featured the "Wellness Tree," an activity in which each participant placed a flower or fruit sticker on a large tree illustration. As the number of colorful stickers increased, the tree appeared to bloom and grow, brightening the venue.
Low health checkup participation rates among university students have been recognized as a nationwide issue. This event represents one of the pioneering efforts aimed at addressing this challenge. In fact, the number of students receiving health checkups increased during the event period, indicating a positive impact.
The Health Administration Center at Gifu University has long promoted various initiatives under the theme of "wellness." The Center will continue to provide opportunities that encourage students, faculty, and staff to reflect on and engage in healthy behaviors, contributing to improved health and well-being throughout the university community.
