Gifu University Certified as a "Gifu City Childcare Partnership & Women's Empowerment Company"
Gifu University was certified by the Gifu City Government as a "Gifu City Childcare Partnership & Women's Empowerment Company" at the "FY2025 Gifu City Childcare Partnership & Women's Empowerment Company Certification Ceremony" held on Friday, February 6, 2026. At the ceremony, the certificate was presented by Gifu City Mayor SHIBAHASHI Masanao to Vice President OYABU Chiho, who also serves as Director of Gender Equality Promotion Office.
This certification program consists of two categories: the "Childcare Partnership Company" category, which recognizes organizations promoting men's proactive participation in childcare, and the "Women's Empowerment Company" category, which recognizes organizations advancing further opportunities for women. Gifu University has been certified in both categories, and this marks the second renewal of its certification.
On Monday, February 10, Vice President Oyabu visited the Office of President to report the certification. President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro offered words of encouragement for future initiatives.
Gifu University will continue striving to create a campus environment where both women and men can fully demonstrate their individuality and abilities.
