The 3rd Academic Summit is Held
On January 9, 2026, the 3rd Academic Summit was held at the OKB Gifu University Plaza on campus.
This event was organized as a forum for opinion exchange and interaction between the university executives and the awardees of the Fusion Oriented Research for Disruptive Science and Technology (FOREST) program of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), with participation from next‑generation researchers and students.
The program featured research presentations by the 2024 (5th cohort) awardees and the 2022 (3rd cohort, stage‑gate (mid-term) review) awardees of FOREST, followed by discussions on improving the research environment. Active discussions took place around key themes, such as ideal research environments, interdisciplinary integration, accelerating research, and proposals to the university. Through coffee breaks and poster sessions, the event served as a valuable occasion to expand networks among researchers within the university.
Gifu University will continue to enhance its research support systems to promote the advancement of science led by young researchers.
