A Meeting Between Dispatched Teachers and Members of Gifu Prefectural Board of Education Held
On Friday, December 12, 2025, fourteen first-year graduate students who are in-service teachers dispatched by the Gifu Prefectural Board of Education to the School Administrators Prepare Course at the Gifu University Graduate School for Teaching Profession, gave interim presentations of their "Development and Practice Reports" during a meeting with the Board of Education.
"Development and Practice" is a core component of the learning curriculum at the Graduate School for Teaching Profession, in which students design and implement practices aimed at solving educational issues commissioned by schools and local communities.
At the meeting, each graduate student reported on the progress of their project and received feedback from members of the Gifu Prefectural Board of Education. The feedback included warm comments and advice, such as the importance of maintaining a broad perspective and sense of balance, ensuring that newly acquired knowledge is applied only after personally understanding and interpreting it, discussing issues with peers in similar positions, recognizing that gaining the understanding of administrators and teachers can be challenging but is crucial, and clarifying issues and expected outcomes more explicitly.
This meeting offered a valuable opportunity for graduate students not only to enhance their abilities as future school administrators but also to contribute to schools and local communities through the resolution of the commissioned tasks.
