On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Gifu University participated in the Environmental Fair Mizunami 2025 held at the Mizunami City Cultural Center in Gifu Prefecture, introducing the university's initiatives in environmental education, research, and community engagement.
The event, organized by the Environmental Division of the Mizunami City Government under the theme "Let's Think About SDGs - Starting with Everyday Actions," featured exhibits and hands-on activities by 16 organizations, including companies, civic groups, and universities. From the morning, the venue attracted a large number of visitors, including parents and children.
At Gifu University's booth, the Center for Environmental and Societal Sustainability members showcased a variety of activities: distribution of booklets and screening of videos on "The Impact of Global Warming on Gifu's Local Specialties," display of the university's Environmental Report and distribution of leaflets by the Environmental Affairs Office, and introduction of the initiatives for developing environmental leaders by the Promotion of Regional Collaboration.
In addition, four graduates of the Next-Generation Regional Leader Fostering Program who was enrolled at the "Environmental Leader Course," collaborated with the Gifu Prefecture Center for Climate Change Actions1 and ran attractions, such as eco ring toss, fishing games, and target shooting. These activities provided opportunities for both children and adults to enjoy learning about environmental issues.
