Commemorative Naming Ceremony for University Dining Hall "API DINING" Held
On Monday, November 17, 2025, a commemorative naming ceremony for "API DINING" was held at the University Dining Hall.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from API Co., Ltd., including President and CEO, NONOGAKI Takahiko. From Gifu University, President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro, Vice President WANG Zhigang, and Vice Presidential Adviser TAKAHASHI Shuhei were present. Together, they celebrated the new beginning of the University Dining Hall under the name "API DINING."
At the start of the ceremony, President Yoshida expressed gratitude for the generous support from API and conveyed his intention to continue strengthening collaboration with the company across various specialized fields, aiming to remain a university that grows together with the local community.
Following this, President Nonogaki shared the meaning behind the nickname "API DINING," his hope that the cafeteria would help foster familiarity with the company, and his commitment to valuing ties with Gifu University and contributing to the university in diverse ways in the future.
Afterward, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, marking a new step for the University Dining Hall "API DINING" as a symbol of partnership with API.
The nickname "API DINING" will be used for four years, from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2029. Revenue generated through the naming rights project will be utilized to promote and enhance the university's education and research.
